The Cut & Paste Resume Management Form consists of five fields:
Name -- For your use to identify individual resumes, if you choose to enter more than one.
Use whatever name, up to 20 characters, makes most sense to you. This name is not displayed as part of the resume.
Title -- This is what the search engine will display when it returns a list of matches. The Title is
included as the HTML title field for the resume page. This means that if someone bookmarks the resume, the title
is what will appear as the name of the bookmark. The title is not displayed on the resume page itself. If you would
like it to appear there too, you must also place a copy there.
Abstract -- A short description a searcher or search engine may choose to have displayed along with the titles when a
search engine displays a list of matches. Some search engines add extra weight to terms appearing in the Title
and/or the Abstract. The Abstract does not actually appear as a visable part of the posting.
A maximum of 320 characters are allowed in this field.
Key Words -- Enter a comma seperated list of key words and phrases. These tell the search engine what
terms are especially important for this posting. The Key Words do not actually appear as a visable part of the posting.
A maximum of 160 characters are allowed in this field.
Main Body -- Cut and paste your resume in this box. This is the only part actually shown when a searcher
wants to see the actual resume.
After filling in the form use the buttons at its bottom to:
Add the resume to your set of saved resumes. Once saved, the resume can be moved between Published and
UnPublished modes by using the Manage Resumes Control Center
Delete marks a resume to be removed from the system. When a resume is deleted, any published
copies are removed. A private master copy remains in the database for at least seven days, in case you change your mind,
and want to UnDelete the resume. A resume may be UnDeleted via the Manage Resumes
Control Center
Update revise the master copy in the database to reflect any changes you've made to the resume.
If you make any changes you wish to save, the Update button must be clicked before you leave.
If Update is not pressed, any changes you make may not remain when you return.
Preview will display your resume as it will look to people who find it via the search engine. Also
presented is a mini control panel above the resume. Use the Revise button on the control panel to return
to this page's form for further edits. You may Preview your resume before it is added to the database, but the
sooner you add the resume to the database, the better.
Published resumes will expire and be withdrawn form public view (i.e. UnPublished) after 90 days. You may
also UnPublish your resume(s) via the
